Cleveland Cavaliers Dismantled Orlando Magic 122-102

The Cleveland Cavaliers trounced the Orlando Magic 122-102. The Cavaliers improve to 50-27 and the Magic fall to 27-51 on the season. Kevin Love led all scorers with 28 points on 9 of 18 from the field, grabbed 11 rebounds, stripped away two steals, and nailed five three-pointers. LeBron James posted a triple-double with 18 points on 7 of 14 from the field, to go along with 11 rebounds, 11 assists, and two steals. Kyrie Irving dropped in 24 points on 10 of 15 from the field, hit three triples, dished out eight assists, and plucked four rebounds.

J.R. Smith scored 19 points on 7 of 11 from the floor, snatched five rebounds, and drained five three-pointers. Kyle Korver added 12 points on 4 of 6 from the field, and buried three from deep off the bench. Deron Williams contributed eight points on merely 2 of 6 from the field,  and gave out three assists off the bench. The Cavaliers shot an excellent 53.7 percent from the field, and shot 50 percent on 18 of 36 from three-point range. The Cavaliers moved the ball well, and executed really well on offense.

The Cavaliers were on fire in the second half and they out-scored the Magic 43 to 20 in the third quarter. The Cavaliers out-scored the Magic in the paint 34 to 24. The Cavaliers played a very good game at both ends of the floor and they just destroyed the Magic. They played good on defense also and held the Magic to shoot only 38 percent from the field. The Cavaliers have now won three games in a row.

“When we get out and run and play with pace, nobody can beat us and we know that,” Cavs coach Tyronn Lue said.

For the Magic, Evan Fournier led the way with 21 points on 5 of 12 from the floor, and nailed four three-pointers. Elfrid Payton logged 12 points on 5 of 9 from the field, picked up four rebounds, and handed out six assists. Aaron Gordon amassed 12 points on merely 5 of 14 from the floor, and pulled down five rebounds. Terrence Ross scored 12 points on 5 of 14 from the field, dished out three assists, and stripped away two steals. Nikola Vucevic racked up six points on just 3 of 9 from the field, and gathered 10 rebounds.

Mario Hezonjia concluded with 13 points on 3 of 8 from the floor off the bench. Jodie Meeks supplied 11 points on merely 2 of 7 from the field, including six rebounds, three assists, and two steals. C.J. Watson totaled nine points on 3 of 6 from the field, and dished out six assists. The Magic shot a horrid 38.4 percent from the field, and shot 33.3 percent on 11 of 33 behind the three-point line.

The Magic did shoot a solid 96 percent on 25 of 26 from the charity stripe. The Magic just totally fell apart in the second half. They were not shooting well and they could not get stops on defense which was why they got blown out. The Magic have now lost their last five games.
