LeBron James Buzzer Beater Three-Pointer Lifts Cavs Past Pacers In Game Five In The First Round Of The Playoffs 98-95

The Cleveland Cavaliers at home slip by the Indiana Pacers in game-five in the first round of the playoffs 98-95. The Cavaliers take a 3-2 lead in the series. LeBron James finished with 44 points on 14 of 24 from the field, plucked 10 rebounds, and dished out eight assists. The Cavaliers had the ball with three seconds left and the game was tied at 95-95. James made the game winning three-pointer at the buzzer to help lead the Cavs to victory.

Kyle Korver put in 19 points on 6 of 11 from the field, grabbed six rebounds, and sunk five three-pointers. Kevin Love posted a double-double with 11 points on merely 2 of 11 from the field, and picked up 10 rebounds. Larry Nance Jr. contributed five points on 2 of 3 from the floor in 19 minutes off the bench. The Cavaliers only shot 41.3 percent from the field, and shot 31.3 percent on 10 of 32 from three-point range. The Cavaliers did shoot a tremendous 96.3 percent on 26 of 27 from the foul line.

The Cavaliers win a big game at home, but they let the Pacers comeback in the fourth quarter. The Cavaliers struggled on offense, but they got enough stops on defense to win the game. Meanwhile, George Hill was out with a back injury. The Cavaliers will head to Indiana to play against the Indiana Pacers in game-six tomorrow night.

The Pacers shot 47.9 percent from the field, and shot 30 percent on 6 of 20 behind the three-point line.

The Pacers out-scored the Cavaliers in the paint 42 to 32. The Pacers bench out-scored the Cavaliers bench 42 to 18. The Pacers did not give up, and they were in a good position to win. The Pacers just had no answer for LeBron James, and he made a big shot. The Pacers will have a chance at home to tie the series, and force a game seven tomorrow night.

Cleveland Cavaliers Hold Off Indiana Pacers In Game Four In The First Round Of The Playoffs 104-100

The Cleveland Cavaliers win a big game on the road against the Indiana Pacers in game-four in the first round of the playoffs 104-100. The Cavaliers even the series at two games to two. LeBron James led all scorers with 32 points on 12 of 22 from the field, to go along with 13 rebounds, seven assists, and two blocks in 46 minutes. Kyle Korver scored 18 points on 4 of 9 from the field, drained four three-pointers, and blocked two shots. Korver made a couple big three-pointers in the fourth quarter.

J.R. Smith dropped in 12 points on just 4 of 12 from the field, grabbed six rebounds, and buried four three-pointers. At the end of the first quarter, J.R. made a buzzer beater three from three-quarters court. Jordan Clarkson added 12 points on 5 of 9 from the floor off the bench. Jeff Green managed eight points on 3 of 5 from the field, plucked four rebounds, and dished out four assists off the pine. Larry Nance Jr. finished with six points on 2 of 4 from the floor, and stripped away two steals in 15 minutes off the bench.

Kevin Love racked up five points on merely 2 of 10 from the field, pulled down 11 rebounds, and gathered two steals. The Cavaliers shot 44.9 percent from the field, and shot 35.3 percent on 12 of 34 from three-point range. The Cavaliers once again were up by as many as 16 points, but they let the Pacers comeback in the second half. The Cavaliers have struggled on offense in this series, but they have played better on defense.

The Cavaliers have more momentum now with this series tied 2-2, and will have home-court advantage in game five. The Cavaliers will host the Indiana Pacers in game-five tomorrow night. Meanwhile, George Hill did not play with a back injury.

The Pacers shot 43 percent from the field, and shot 36.4 percent on 12 of 33 behind the three-point line. All of Pacers starters scored in double-figures. The Pacers competed well, and kept fighting, but it was not enough for them to win the game. The Pacers needed to execute better on offense.

Cleveland Cavaliers Pull Off The Win Against Indiana Pacers In Game Two In The First Round Of The Playoffs 100-97

The Cleveland Cavaliers at home squeeze past the Indiana Pacers 100-97 in game-two in the first round of the playoffs. The series is now tied at 1-1. LeBron James had a game-high 46 points on 17 of 24 from the field, to go along with 12 rebounds, five assists, and two steals. James scored the Cavaliers first 16 points of the game. Kevin Love finished with 15 points on merely 5 of 16 from the field, and grabbed eight rebounds.

Kyle Korver scored 12 points on 4 of 8 from the field, and made four three-pointers. J.R. Smith put in five points on 2 of 5 from the floor, and stripped away two steals. J.R. played good defense on Oladipo a couple-times in this game. Jose Calderon added five points on 2 of 4 from the field in 13 minutes off the bench. The Cavaliers shot 50.7 percent from the field, and shot 39.3 percent on 11 of 28 from three-point range.

The Cavaliers set the tone early, and did play good defense. This was a big win for the Cavaliers as they could not afford to go down 2-0 when they have to play the next two games on the road. The Cavaliers role players will have to step it up as James scored 46 of the teams 100 points in the game. The Cavaliers will play in Indiana tonight in game- three against the Indiana Pacers.

LeBron James said, “Coach Lue called up the first play for me and it went down, so we went back to it. I was able to hit another one. And it just felt like I was in a really good rhythm, so I just tried to see how long I could stay in that zone and try to make a mark on the game early on.”

For the Pacers, Victor Oladipo led the way with 22 points on 9 of 18 from the field, and dished out six assists. Oladipo only played 28 minutes because he was in foul trouble, but he did have six turnovers. Darron Collison managed 16 points on 7 of 11 from the field, including five rebounds, and six assists. Collison made a couple big three-pointers in the fourth quarter. Myles Turner poured in 18 points on 7 of 12 from the floor, and picked up five rebounds.

Thaddeus Young tossed in eight points on 4 of 6 from the field, snatched six rebounds, and gathered three steals. Bojan Bogdonovic amassed eight points on 3 of 6 from the floor, and gave out four assists. Lance Stephenson contributed 10 points on 5 of 9 from the field, and collected four rebounds off the bench. The Pacers shot a solid 52.6 percent from the field, and shot just 27.3 percent on 6 of 22 from three-point distance. The Pacers did play sloppy with 17 turnovers.

The Pacers out-scored the Cavaliers in the paint 62 to 30. The Pacers were down 24-6 in the first quarter, but they did not let the game get away from them. The Pacers only lost the game by three points, and they had a good chance to win the game. The Pacers will have the momentum going into game three at home tonight.

Cleveland Cavaliers Annihilated New York Knicks 123-109

The Cleveland Cavaliers on the road run past the New York Knicks 123-109. The Cavaliers improve to 50-31, and the Knicks fall to 28-53 on the season. Kevin Love led all scorers with 28 points on 9 of 17 from the field, grabbed five rebounds, and nailed six three-pointers. LeBron James posted a double-double with 26 points on 7 of 16 from the floor, dished out 11 assists, and plucked six rebounds. Jeff Green scored 10 points on 3 of 6 from the field.

Jordan Clarkson added 16 points on 5 of 9 from the floor, and drained four three-pointers off the pine. Clarkson made a couple clutch three-pointers in the fourth quarter.  J.R. Smith contributed 16 points on 6 of 13 from the field, to go along with seven rebounds, four assists, and two steals off the bench. Larry Nance Jr. poured in 10 points on 4 of 6 from the field, and pulled down six rebounds in 19 minutes off the pine. The Cavaliers shot 47 percent from the field, and shot a solid 42.2 percent on 19 of 45 from three-point range.

The Cavaliers moved the ball well, and executed well on offense. This was a five point game in the fourth quarter, but the Cavaliers closed out the game well. The Cavaliers bench out-scored the Knicks bench 52 to 38. The Cavaliers have won six of their last seven games. Meanwhile, Rodney Hood did not play with an achilles injury. The Cavaliers will host the New York Knicks tonight.

Kevin Love said, “It’s been it feels like a number of seasons within the season, but it’s also gone by pretty fast, I know I was injured for a number of games, but it still feels like it was a little bit of a blur, so we got one more left at home and as we always say the real things starts.”

For the Knicks, Michael Beasley led the way with 20 points on 8 of 13 from the field, including four rebounds, and three steals. Lance Thomas managed 14 points on 6 of 9 from the field, and gathered seven rebounds. Trey Burke put in 12 points on 5 of 11 from the floor, and gave out eight assists. Rookie Frank Ntilikina pitched in 17 points on 8 of 16 from the field, snatched six rebounds, and handed out five assists. Kyle O’Quinn tossed in eight points on 4 of 6 from the floor, collected four rebounds, and blocked two shots.

Courtney Lee accrued 17 points on 7 of 12 from the field, and picked up six rebounds off the bench. Damyean Dotson generated 11 points on 4 of 9 from the floor, and nabbed four rebounds in 19 minutes off the pine. The Knicks shot a remarkable 52.9 percent from the field, and shot 36.7 percent on 11 of 30 behind the three-point line. The Knicks out-scored the Cavaliers in the paint 54 to 36.

The Knicks did not get enough stops on defense to win. The Knicks have now lost six of their last seven games. Meanwhile, Enes Kanter was out with a wrist and back injury, Tim Hardaway Jr. missed the game with an ankle injury, and Emmanuel Mudiay was sidelined with a concussion.

Cleveland Cavaliers Rebound In Second Half Against Washington Wizards 119-115

The Cleveland Cavaliers come back in second half to pull off the win at home against the Washington Wizards 119-115. The Cavaliers improve to 49-30, and the Wizards fall to 42-37 on the season. The Cavaliers have now won 10 of their last 11 games. LeBron James led all scorers with 33 points on 12 of 20 from the field, including nine rebounds, and 14 assists. Jeff Green dropped in 21 points on 8 of 10 from the field.

Kevin Love put up 16 points on 5 of 10 from the floor, pulled down six rebounds, and drained four three-pointers. Rodney Hood totaled 11 points on 3 of 6 from the field, and stripped away two steals. Rookie Cedi Osman poured in eight points on 2 of 3 from the floor, and gathered two steals in 15 minutes. Kyle Korver added 13 points on 4 of 7 from the field, and hit three triples off the pine. Korver made a clutch three-pointer in the fourth quarter to tie the game 113-113.

Jordan Clarkson contributed 10 points on 5 of 12 from the field off the bench. The Cavaliers shot an incredible 54.5 percent from the field, and shot 48.1 percent on 13 of 27 from three-point range. The Cavaliers could not miss, and they simply went off. The Cavaliers were down by as many as 17 points in the fourth quarter, and they came back and won the game.

This was a great game, and was a tied game with under two minutes remaining in the game. Meanwhile, George Hill was out with an ankle injury, and Jose Calderon missed the game with an hamstring injury. The Cavaliers will play again tonight, and will travel to Philadelphia to play against the Philadelphia 76ers.

Wizards head coach Scott Brooks said about LeBron James, “Like I said before the game, I’ll say it after the game and probably five years from now I’ll say the same thing, he’s the best player in the league and he does that every night. You don’t get to see players like him often.”

Otto Porter racked up 18 points on 8 of 13 from the field, collected eight rebounds, and blocked two shots. Marcin Gortat finished with 10 points on 5 of 9 from the floor, and caught seven rebounds. Markieff Morris managed 15 points on 7 of 12 from the field, snagged five rebounds, and handed out four assists.

Mike Scott generated 12 points on 5 of 9 from the floor in 21 minutes off the bench. The Wizards shot 50 percent from the field, and shot 43 percent on 9 of 21 from beyond the arc. All of Wizards starters scored in double-figures. The Wizards should have won the game, but they blew a 17 point lead in the fourth quarter. The Wizards have now lost four of their last five games.

Cleveland Cavaliers Win In A Close Finish, 112-106 Against Toronto Raptors

The Cleveland Cavaliers at home knocked off the Toronto Raptors 112-106. The Cavaliers improve to 48-30, and the Raptors fall to 55-22 on the season. The Cavaliers have won nine of their last 10 games. LeBron James had a game-high 27 points on 8 of 14 from the field, to go along with 10 rebounds, six assists, and drained three from downtown. Kevin Love posted a double-double with 18 points on 4 of 8 from the field, grabbed 15 rebounds, and made four three-pointers.

Jose Calderon scored 19 points on 7 of 11 from the floor, plucked four rebounds, dished out four assists, and stripped away two steals in 26 minutes. Rodney Hood finished with 17 points on 6 of 12 from the field, and gathered two steals. Jeff Green put in 12 points on 5 of 10 from the field, and blocked three shots. Larry Nance Jr. logged six points on 2 of 3 from the floor in 16 minutes off the bench. The Cavaliers shot 49.4 percent from the field, and shot a solid 43.3 percent on 13 of 30 from three-point range.

All of Cavaliers starters scored in double-figures. The Cavaliers moved the ball well, and were on fire in the first half. The Cavaliers have not been fully healthy of late, but they are still playing consistently well. Meanwhile, George Hill did not play with an ankle injury. The Cavaliers at home will face-off the Washington Wizards tonight.

LeBron James said, “We don’t know what we can become, we have no idea. But right now we’re playing good ball and we want to try to continue that. But we don’t know what we can become. We have not been whole all year.”

Jonas Valanciunas recored a double-double with 17 points on 8 of 15 from the floor, and picked up 10 rebounds in 22 minutes. Serge Ibaka chipped in a double-double with 16 points on 6 of 14 from the field, and picked up 12 rebounds. Pascal Siakam poured in 10 points on 5 of 10 from the floor, including five rebounds, and four assists off the bench. C.J. Miles compiled eight points on 3 of 7 from the field off the pine.

Delon Wright accrued seven points on 3 of 6 from the floor in 15 minutes off the bench. Norman Powell concluded with seven points on 3 of 4 from the field in seven minutes off the pine. Fred VanVleet notched nine points on merely 3 of 10 from the floor, and handed out six assists off the bench. The Raptors shot 44.7 percent from the field, and shot 32.4 percent on 11 of 34 behind the three-point line.

The Raptors bench out-scored the Cavaliers bench 56 to 28. The Raptors did not get enough stops to win the game. The Raptors did not give up as they were down by 12 points with 53 seconds remaining in the game, and then it was only a four point game. The Raptors have lost three of their last five games, but they still have the number one seed in the East.

Cleveland Cavaliers Top Dallas Mavericks 98-87

Cleveland Cavaliers at home run past the Dallas Mavericks 108-97. The Cavaliers improve to 47-30, and the Mavericks fall to 23-54 on the season. The Cavaliers have now won eight of their last nine games. LeBron James recorded a triple-double with 16 points on merely 5 of 21 from the field, grabbed 13 rebounds, and dished out 12 assists. Kevin Love posted a double-double with 13 points on just 4 of 13 from the field, and plucked 13 rebounds.

Rodney Hood put in nine points on 4 of 9 from the field. Jose Calderon pitched in eight points on 3 of 6 from the floor in 22 minutes. Larry Nance racked up six points on a perfect 3 of 3 from the field, and grabbed six rebounds. Jordan Clarkson added 16 points on 5 of 9 from the field in 25 minutes off the bench. J.R. Smith managed 15 points on 6 of 11 from the floor, pulled down four rebounds, and buried three triples off the bench.

Cedi Osman scored six points on 2 of 3 from the field in seven minutes off the pine. The Cavaliers shot 41.2 percent from the field, and shot a tremendous 42.3 percent on 11 of 26 from three-point range. The Cavaliers out-rebounded the Mavericks 50 to 38. The Cavaliers bench out-scored the Mavericks bench 45 to 23.

The Cavaliers out-scored the Mavericks 25 to 10 in the fourth quarter, and the Cavaliers played really good defense. The Cavaliers did not shoot the ball well, but they were getting stops on defense. Meanwhile, George Hill did not play with an ankle injury, and Kyle Korver was out with a sore foot. The Cavaliers at home will take on the Toronto Raptors tonight.

LeBron James said, “I missed four, five, maybe six layups, which I’m not accustomed to doing, but me not shooting the ball well never stopped me making an impact on the game. So if I’m not shooting well, I gotta make sure I get my guys on time, on target with my passes and I gotta rebound and I gotta do other things to help us win and I was able to do that.”

For the Mavericks, Harrison Barnes led all scorers with 30 points on 10 of 19 from the field, gave out five assists, and sunk five three-pointers. Rookie Dennis Smith Jr. tallied 14 points on just 6 of 17 from the floor, including four rebounds, and six assists. Dirk Nowitzki amassed nine points on 4 of 8 from the field, and caught seven rebounds in 21 minutes. Doug McDermott notched nine points on 4 of 7 from the floor off the pine. Yogi Ferrell finished with eight points on merely 3 of 11 from the field.

The Mavericks shot 40 percent from the field, and shot 35.1 percent on 13 of 37 from three-point distance. The Mavericks played sloppy with 15 turnovers. The Mavericks were up 77-73 going into the fourth quarter, but they ended up losing the game 98-87. The Mavericks have now lost eight of their last nine games. Wesley Matthews was out for the Mavericks with a right leg injury, and J.J. Barea missed the game because of personal reasons.
