Cleveland Cavaliers Storm Past Milwaukee Bucks 112-100


The Cleveland Cavaliers on the road thump the Milwaukee Bucks 112-100. The Cavaliers improve to 27-16, and the Bucks fall to 31-14 on the season. Donovan Mitchell had a game-high 32 points on 12 of 27 from the field, grabbed six rebounds, and made six three-pointers. Jarrett Allen posted a double-double with 24 points on 9 of 20 from the floor, picked up 14 rebounds, and blocked two shots. Max Strus put in 11 points on 3 of 10 from the field, including seven rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Caris LeVert notched 12 points on 3 of 10 from the floor, snatched four rebounds, and dished out five assists off the bench.

Georges Niang dropped in 10 points on 3 of 5 from the field, and gathered five rebounds off the pine. The Cavaliers shot 41.3 percent from the field, and shot 39 percent on 14 of 36 from three-point range. The Cavaliers outscored the Bucks in the paint 44 to 34. The Cavaliers did a good job getting stops on defense and they have now won nine of their last 10 games.

“We felt like a step behind last game,” Allen said. “I don’t think we were ready to play when we did the tipped ball. Tonight we came out with energy that we believed we could play with (and) the defense that we’re supposed to play, too.”

For the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo recorded a double-double with 22 points on 9 of 13 from the floor, snagged 11 rebounds, gave out nine assists, but turned the ball over six times. Bobby Portis registered 12 points on 4 of 8 from the field, caught eight rebounds, and drained three triples. The Bucks shot 40.2 percent from the field, and shot 38.2 percent on 13 of 34 from three-point distance. The Bucks played sloppy with 18 turnovers and they did execute well enough offensively.
