LA Clippers Stumble To Cleveland Cavaliers 118-108


The Cleveland Cavaliers at home take down the LA Clippers 118-108. The Cavaliers improve to 28-16, and the Clippers fall to 30-15 on the season. Donovan Mitchell posted a double-double with 28 points on 11 of 21 from the field, including four rebounds, 12 assists, and two steals. Jarrett Allen recorded a double-double with 20 points on 6 of 9 from the floor, and grabbed 17 rebounds. Isaac Okoro scored 17 points on 5 of 10 from the field, and sunk three from outside.

Max Strus dropped in finished with 14 points on 4 of 8 from the floor, pulled down seven rebounds, dished out four assists, and buried three from deep. Evan Mobley finished with 10 points on 5 of 7 from the field, and picked up nine rebounds. Caris LeVert added 13 points on 6 of 12 from the floor off the bench. The Cavaliers shot 48.8 percent from the field, and shot 32.5 percent on 13 of 40 from three-point territory. All of the Cavaliers starters scored in double-figures. The Cavaliers played well at both ends of the floor and they have now won 10 of their last 11 games.

“It’s good to have Evan back,” Allen said. “He stayed locked in, and now that he’s back he’s looking like his old self again.”

For the Clippers, Kawhi Leonard led all scorers with 30 points on 13 of 25 from the field, to go along with eight rebounds, and two steals. Paul George put in 13 points on 3 of 11 from the floor, snatched five rebounds, and stripped away two steals. James Harden chipped in a double-double with 11 points on 3 of 8 from the field, plucked seven rebounds, and gave out 10 assists. Norman Powell contributed 18 points on 6 of 13 from the floor, and made four three-pointers off the pine. Russell Westbrook totaled 13 points on 5 of 8 from the field, and snagged four rebounds off the bench.

Amir Coffey generated 13 points on 5 of 9 from the floor off the pine. The Clippers bench outscored the Cavaliers bench 44 to 29. The Clippers did not play good defensively. The Cavaliers snapped the Clippers five game winning streak.
